Action Groups - Business Networking

Focus:

• Engaging conventional businesses with issues & possible solutions surrounding peak oil & climate change
• Encouraging Oxford businesses to implement their own oil vulnerability analyses and/or energy descent plans
• Forming a “Transition Oxford Business Network” which offers information and joint action on the above

• Simon will be talking about sustainable transport and peak oil at a Common Purpose event on 10th June 2008
• Charlie will be attending Venturefest on 1st July 2008

Group needs:

• Inspiring examples from the local business community
• Ideas on how Oxford businesses can increase their local resilience and reduce their environmental impact
• Information on, and experiences of, oil vulnerability analysis, local currencies (Totnes pound) and other Transition tools.
• Interested people to join our group and help us to raise awareness in the local business community
